Australia is a large continent. It has six states and two territories.The capital city of Australia is Canberra. It is in the Australian Capital Territory.The The population of Australia is about 20 million. The first inhabitants to live in Australia were Aboriginal people. After that people came from all over the world. The main language is English, however many other languages are spoken.There are many plants and animals that are only found in Australia, e.g. kangaroos, platypuses, gum trees and Waratahs.The main products and industries are wool, minerals, oil, coal, cereals and meat.Some famous landmarks are the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and Uluru (Ayers Rock).

Tornado

GENERAL CLASSIFICATION:
A tornado is a powerful twisting is one of the most destructive of all the storm that are we have on earth a tornado is also called waterspout. Weather scientists are unable to know exactly when tornado will occur. Fortunately, the tornado is not usually very big and it does not last long.

DESCRIPTION:
A tornado is a long cloud which comes down from the sky. It is like a funnel and consists of wind which whirls around and around extremely fact. In fact, the wind can reach a speed of more than 900 kilometers per hour.

Whales

Whales are sea-living mammals.

They therefore breathe air but cannot survive on land. Some species are very large indeed and the blue whale, which can exceed 30 m in length, is the largest animal to have lived on earth. Superficially, the whale looks rather like a fish, but there are important differences in its external structure; its tail consists of a pair of broad, flat, horizontal paddles (the tail of a fish is vertical) and it has a single nostril on top of its large, broad head. The skin is smooth and shiny and beneath it lies a layer of fat (blubber). This is up to 30 cm in thickness and serves to converse heat and body fluids.

POMEGRANATE

General clarification:
Pomegranate trees grow as a bush or shrub.Height varies from 1,5 to 6 meters. Small leaves and flowers grow at the end of branches that resemble coral red.

Description :
Size pomegranate almost the same size of an orange.Skin thick dark yellow fruit flushed.Pomegranates contain many seeds in it.These seeds red met,sweet,and fresh,which often made fresh drinks.These a which makes it a special fruit for people who live in hot and dry.

Mount Merapi

Mount Merapi, Gunung Merapi (literally Fire Mountain in Indonesian/Javanese), is an active stratovolcano located on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is the most active volcano in Indonesia and has erupted regularly since 1548. It is located approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) north of Yogyakarta city, and thousands of people live on the flanks of the volcano, with villages as high as 1,700 metres (5,600 ft) above sea level.

The name Merapi could be loosely translated as 'Mountain of Fire'. The etymology of the name came from Meru-Api; from the Javanese combined words; Meru means "mountain" refer to mythical mountain of Gods in Hinduism, and api means "fire". Smoke can be seen emerging from the mountaintop at least 300 days a year, and several eruptions have caused fatalities. Hot gas from a large explosion killed 27 people on November 22 in 1994, mostly in the town of Muntilan, west of the volcano.[3] Another large eruption occurred in 2006, shortly before the Yogyakarta earthquake. In light of the hazards that Merapi poses to populated areas, it has been designated as one of the Decade Volcanoes.

On 25 October 2010 the Indonesian government raised the alert for Mount Merapi to its highest level and warned villagers in threatened areas to move to safer ground. People living within a 20 km (12.5 mile) zone were told to evacuate. Officials said about 500 volcanic earthquakes had been recorded on the mountain over the weekend of 23–24 October, and that the magma had risen to about 1 kilometre (3,300 ft) below the surface due to the seismic activity.[4] On the afternoon of 25 October 2010 Mount Merapi erupted lava from its southern and southeastern slopes.[5]

The mountain was still erupting on 30 November 2010 however due to lowered eruptive activity on 3 December 2010 the official alert status was reduced to level 3.[6]

Newspapers and magazines are very important in a modern life.People in cities, towns and villages want current information. Newspapers and magazines provide them with news about polities, crime, entertainment, sports and other information you need.

The production of newspapers and magazines is very hard work. Journalists search news. They try hard to interview people to get the correct issue direct from the horse's mouth. Then they write it into good and interesting articles. They editors decide the headlines and the news layout. They decide which articles must go on the front page and which news printed inside the paper. After all pages are ready then a managing editor approves and now the newspaper is ready to publish.

Sharks

A shark is a type of fish that lives in the sea. It is one of the largest sea creatures. There are over 350 species. A shark is shaped like a torpedo. It has rough skin like sandpaper. Instead of bones it has elastic cartilage which helps them to move easily. It can grow up to 8 meters.
Sharks are found in all oceans around the world. The type of sharks found will depend on the water's temperature. A shark has to keep moving when it is asleep because it will either sink or suffocate. It has to keep moving because it needs to breathe through its gills to keep alive. When sharks are hungry,they look for food. Different sharks eat different food. Harmless sharks eat plankton but harmful sharks eat meat.
Sharks grow up to forty two babies(which are called pups) at a time. When the pups are born,they leave straight away because the mother shark does not have teats. Some sharks grow their pups in different ways,some lay eggs while others leave them alive . When they are born they need to defend themselves because they have no one to help them.
